How to Use HMT Kitchadi Ponni Rice

Pressure Cooker Method

This rice is quick to cook and adaptable for both pressure cooking and open-pot methods.

Ingredients:

1 cup HMT Kitchadi Ponni Rice
2.25 to 2.5 cups water
Salt (optional)

Steps:

Rinse the rice 2–3 times to remove excess starch.
Soak for 20–30 minutes (optional for softer texture).
Add to pressure cooker with water.
Let pressure release naturally. Fluff gently and serve.

Open Pot/Boiling Method

Rinse and soak the rice for 30 minutes.
Boil 3 cups of water in a pot.
Add rice and salt to the boiling water.
Cook uncovered on medium flame for 15–20 minutes.
