How to Use Akshaya Ponni Rice

Pressure Cooker Method

Ingredients:

1 cup Akshaya Ponni Rice
2.25 to 2.5 cups water
Salt to taste (optional)

Steps:

Rinse rice 2–3 times to remove excess starch.
Soak rice for 20–30 minutes (optional for softer texture).
Add rice and water to the pressure cooker.
Cook for 2–3 whistles on medium flame.
Let pressure release naturally. Fluff and serve.

Open Pot Method

Rinse and soak the rice for 30 minutes.
Boil 3 cups of water in a heavy-bottomed vessel.
Add rice and cook uncovered on medium heat for 15–20 minutes.
Once cooked, drain excess water.
Rest for 5 minutes, then serve.
