How to Use Jeera Rice

Pressure Cooker Method

Ingredients:

1 cup Amman Sona Rice
2 to 2.25 cups water
Salt (optional)

Steps:

Rinse rice 2–3 times until the water runs clear.
Soak the rice for 20–30 minutes (optional for better texture).
Add rice and water to a pressure cooker.
Cook on medium flame for 2 whistles.
Let pressure release naturally. Fluff and serve.

Open Pot Method

Rinse and soak rice for 20–30 minutes.
Bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
Add soaked rice and cook uncovered for 15–18 minutes, until tender.
Drain excess water and let rice rest for 5 minutes.
Serve hot.
