How to Use Sona Raw Rice
Pressure Cooker Method
Ingredients:
1 cup Sona Masuri Rice
2 to 2.5 cups water
Salt (optional)
Instructions:
Rinse the rice 2–3 times until water runs clear.
Soak for 15–20 minutes (optional for softer texture).
Add rice and water to a pressure cooker.
Cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.
Let pressure release naturally. Fluff gently with a fork.
Open Pot Method (Boiling)
Rinse and soak rice for 20 minutes.
In a pot, bring 3 cups water to boil for 1 cup rice.
Add soaked rice and cook uncovered for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once cooked, drain excess water and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
